Komen Florida’s Participation in U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship

In light of the recent progressions with COVID-19, and Governor DeSantis’ request to postpone mass gatherings, we are unable to be represented in person at the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship™ on March 21st at International Polo Club in Wellington.

While this is incredibly disappointing, the health and safety of our constituents, volunteers, sponsors and the community as a whole remain a priority for us.  We are continuing to monitor the situation and will remain here for the women and men touched by breast cancer who need our assistance.

Susan G. Komen Florida remains grateful to the United States Polo Association, U.S. Polo Assn., Women’s International Polo Network and International Polo Club Palm Beach for the monies they raise to support breast health programs in our area including screening, diagnostic testing, treatment assistance and so much more. We are disappointed that we will not be participating in person to cheer on these elite women’s athletes during the finals of the tournament. No matter what is happening in the world, breast cancer does not stop and neither do any of these organizations or Susan G. Komen Florida.

We are grateful to you for your support of Susan G. Komen Florida and our work to reduce breast cancer deaths and fund research to find a cure. If you have any questions, please e-mail us.
