Coaching Committee
Coaching Committee Co-Chair
The Coaching Committee Chair ensures there is a focus on bringing in new teams and High-Value Participants (HPVs), retaining teams/HVPs from past years, and cultivating every team to maximize their participation and fundraising. And manages a subcommittee to spread the load – with specific volunteers assigned to recruitment, retention, and cultivation of your teams. With enough people power on the committee, you can divide and conquer.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit volunteers to serve on the subcommittee so you don’t have to do it alone
- Work with your staff partner to set a goal for the number of teams, and how much money you will raise from teams and
- Check data from last year to determine how much money the average team raised
- Work with your staff partner to develop a plan to track all teams and progress towards goal
- Utilize your subcommittee to secure new teams, engage past assigned teams, and cultivate all teams
Fundraising Coach
Takes teams developed by the Recruitment Managers and coaches them on how to fundraise for the Race for The Cure.
Recruitment Manager Churches
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from churches in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Civic Organizations
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from the civic organizations’ sector in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Gyms
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from gyms in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Temples
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from temples in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Small Business Teams
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of serious race participants who want to run the 5k focusing on the State of Florida. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Small Business Teams
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from small business teams in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Survivors
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of survivors including friends and families in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Recruitment Manager Medical Sector
In charge of recruitment, retention, and cultivation of race participants from the medical sector including friends and families in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Reports to the Coacting Committee Chairs.
Corporate Engagement Committee
Committee Co-Chair
The Corporate Engagement Chair ensures the Race for the Cure® brings in new sponsors, retains past sponsors, and cultivates all corporate partners to maximize participation and fundraising. We want to transition companies from just writing a check – to writing a check, forming a team, engaging employees through team building and fundraising, identifying committee leadership volunteers, and providing volunteers on the event day.
The ideal CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER is: connected in the community, comfortable making the ask, organized, available to meet with sponsors, confident.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit a committee of volunteers to form a Corporate Engagement Committee
- Set a sponsorship goal – how much money do you expect to raise through sponsorship?
- Create a strategy to move event sponsors into corporate partners/teams
- Track overall progress towards the goal
- Ensure recognition happens and promised benefits are delivered
Large Corporate Team Recruiter
Cultivate relationships with large state-wide corporations to register company teams and maximize by fundraising.
Sponsorship Retainment Manager
Maintain relationships with sponsors and encourage them to register company teams and maximize by fundraising.
Organizing Committee
Day of Volunteers
Work at assigned rolls on Saturday, January 25, and earn community service hours (if needed).
Food and Beverage Event Day Lead
Ensure each food and beverage touchpoint has their list of needs fulfilled and troubleshoot if necessary.
Food and Beverage Solicitation Manager
Curate a list of Food and Beverage needs from the Executive Committee and then develop partnerships for in-kind trade.
Registration Tent Volunteers
(Requires a background check) On Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25 work onsite at the registration tent organizing t-shirts, taking donations, accounting for money, and checking in participants.
Signage Manager
Curate a list of signage needs from the Executive Committee and then organize the distribution and execution of all signage on the event day.
Top Teams Manager
Fulfill needs from the top teams ensuring their tent, and other incentives are in place before their arrival on race day.
