Amy Siegel Will Serve As Race Chair For The 25th Race for the Cure


WEST PALM BEACH, FL – September 25, 2015 – Susan G. Komen® South Florida is pleased to announce that Amy Siegel, a member of Komen’s Board of Directors and a longtime volunteer, is Race Chair for the 2016 Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure®. Amy was a part of last year’s Race committee and is currently preparing to walk in Atlanta’s Susan G. Komen 3-Day® this October.

Amy, who served as 2015 co-chair of the On Site Registration Committee, is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader whose commitment, passion, and talents are sure to help make the 25th Race for the Cure in West Palm Beach a success. Amy has hit the ground running alongside Lynn Levy, the 2015 Race Chair who is acting as special mentor and advisor.

“The Race for the Cure shines a spotlight on Komen and our mission to save lives,” Amy said. “Race Day is extraordinary and in keeping with this special celebration of 25 years, the party will be bigger and better than ever.”

Amy added that she is driven and motivated by the core principle of working toward a world without breast cancer. “We hope the community will join us at the Race in furtherance of the fight against this horrible disease. Through this spectacular event, we come together as a community to remember the lives we have lost, to honor our survivors, and to celebrate all of the progress we have made.”

Amy is a partner at the West Palm Beach office of Kelley Kronenberg and specializes in workers’ compensation defense. She has earned numerous awards and accolades from a variety of groups and is certified by the State of Florida to present continuing education courses to clients.

“Komen South Florida’s 25th Race is going to be quite the celebration,” added Dayve Gabbard, executive director of Susan G. Komen® South Florida. “Amy’s long history of volunteerism and support of Komen, paired with her depth of knowledge of our affiliate, makes her a perfect leader for our Race in January.”

The Komen South Florida Race for the Cure will be held in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
