Getting back to basics

Two-time breast cancer survivor Andrea Wesley didn’t know where to turn when she was re-diagnosed.
She ended up finding treatment at her local hospital through a grant from Susan G. Komen South Florida. Now the Boynton Beach mother will be one of two survivors telling their stories at “Many Faces…One Mission,” the seventh annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon Oct. 17 in Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton.
“The phrase she uses is, ‘you don’t know me, but you saved my life,’ ” said Penny Westberry, South Florida executive director. “We asked Andrea Wesley for a list of the drugs she took and we verified that Komen dollars have been involved in helping to research all of them.”
