The nightly cries still echo in Andrea Wesley’s head. She was a 27-year old police officer living in Jamaica with her mother and family. One of the rooms in their home was leased out to an elderly woman who was suffering with breast cancer.
“I would hear her screaming,” she says. “She would say, ‘God kill me, just take me, take me.” The sobs haunted Wesley to her core.
